Garden Suites

Garden suites, also known as ADUs (accessory dwelling units), are becoming popular for several reasons.
Extra living space, Affordable housing options for renters, Eco-friendly, Enhance value of the property where they are built.

Gas Furnace Systems

Traditional low velocity forced air gas furnace systems.

The ducts are usually large and bulky but modern systems tend to be quite efficient. These air handlers can be mounted in various positions.

Commercial HVAC

We provide commercial HVAC design solutions, with an in-depth understanding of the type of business and it's specific requirements.

This is an Eglinton st. change of use project, for which we designed an appropriate ventilation system.

High velocity (ESP) heating systems

The primary heating system in this project is a high-velocity forced air system.

A high velocity forced air heating system utilizes smaller ductwork and high-speed air movement to efficiently distribute air.

High velocity (ESP) heating systems

This results in faster and more even distribution throughout the home, with little to no temperature variation between rooms, when properly designed and installed.

These systems can be heated using gas and electricity (water based coil, or a heat pump).

Hydronic Snow-Melt heating

The driveway, walk-up basement stairs, and walkways are heated using a radiant heating system.

This requires (in the most part) a dedicated boiler system with a high output, since it operates outdoors and the outdoor temperatures dictates the energy consumption of the system.

laneway suite.

A laneway suite is a self-contained residential unit that is typically located in the rear yard of a single-family home, usually accessible through a laneway or alley

Glencoe - Hydronic (in-floor) Heating

In this particular project, the primary heating source is an In-floor Hydronic (water) radiant system.

When designing this type of system, it's important to consider the circuit lengths that are connected to each manifold. The manifold is set at a specific temperature, which may serve one circuit well, but another may be underserved or overserved, due to poorly designed circuit lengths.

Montreal - Mixed use of heating systems

In this project, the primary heating source is an In-floor Hydronic (water) radiant system in the basement slab, and Hydronic radiators on the ground and second floors.

Mechanical ventilation of the building was achieved using a ducted HRV system for each unit.
